take the sardines to the grave

Each country has their special traditions to Ash Wednesday and said the Carnival in a different way "until next year." In Spain, one can almost say that every place has its own method of the Carnival "bury". Together, the English have all the places that they buried a sardine, even when buried is not the right word, because in most cases, the (artificial) Sardine publicly burned after her and the king made Carnival of the process and then the verdict is announced. But there are also places where the sardines will be thrown into the sea or beheaded. in Tossa de Mar, the sardine of children who are dressed as death, carried through the city to become public to be burned. The event says farewell to the carnival and thus initiates the 40-day fast. This last parade ends up at the road Jacint Verdaguer with hot chocolate and a cake that will appeal not only to small children.
